Class of 2021 Graduation

Congratulations to the Seniors of the Class of 2021 for their hard work over the past year. You’ve finally made it!

We wanted to share some information from the graduation committee about graduation and graduation practice. This information should have already been sent to your student email, as well as parents emails, but we are also posting here for visibility.

Graduation Practice will begin at 9:45am on June 4th. Please arrive around 9:30 to give yourself plenty of time. There is no dress requirements for practice, just bring yourself (but of course, remain school appropriate). Upon arrival:

  1. Locate your chair and have a seat.
    • We will adjust seating once everyone is in place.
  2. Verify the spelling of your name on your card. If anything is off, notify a member of the graduation committee.
  3. Make sure, if you have an envelope, that your medals/cords are there. If not, notify a member of the graduation committee.
  4. We will then move into the Honorary Diploma ceremony and begin practice.

Graduation is on June 6th, beginning at 1:55pm.

  1. Parents should drop off students at the South East entrance. Student drivers can park in the band parking lot.
  2. Arrive between 1 and 1:30pm. This is important. If you are late, you will not be allowed to walk.
  3. Get into your spot along the hallway.
  4. Make sure you have your cap/gown/tassel/cords/medals.
  5. We’ll begin our walk at 1:55pm.

The following is our expectations for graduation attire. Starting with girls attire:

  • Dresses, dress pants/blouse, skirts, etc is fine.
  • We will be walking from the high school to the field, so don’t wear really high heels or stilettos.
  • Jeans and T-Shirts aren’t allowed.
  • Flip flops or tennis shoes aren’t allowed. A nice pair of sandals is okay.

Boys attire:

  • Slacks and a collared shirt, with an optional tie
  • Dress shoes or boots, no tennis shoes or flip flops
  • No jeans or T-Shirts
  • No shorts
