As we have explained to parents via auto-call and emails sent to students and staff, the district, pursuant to orders by the governor, will be closed until the end of the academic school year. Lunch pickups will continue as previously scheduled.
The district, following the conclusion of spring break, will begin with remote learning. Students will be expected to check their Google Classroom & Gmail accounts daily during the week for assignments from their teachers. Teachers will be providing office hours throughout the day from 9am to 3pm. Teachers may be available outside of these hours on their own accord, but it is recommended that students utilize the required office hours. Assignments will be expected to be turned by each Sunday – any assignments not turned in will be considered late.
By continuing teaching in this remote learning format, we will meet the department of education requirements for school days, and the academic year will end on schedule.
This year’s class of seniors will not be expected to have any restrictions applied and will graduate on schedule. We are not yet cancelling the graduation ceremony date scheduled, but we are working to consider alternate plans for graduation if stay at home orders or other regulation are still in place at that time.
As always, safety of our students and staff is our number one priority, and we appreciate all the parents and their students for working with us during these unfamiliar times. We hope everyone is staying healthy. Please let your children know that all of our staff miss them, and we hope to be able to see them next year, or at graduation.
